2:00 Alice in Wonderland, in marionettes and music
In partnership with Mayo Street Arts. Featuring Sicilian marionettes created by visiting artists working with MECA students, hand puppets created by local children, and accompanied by an original score on marimba orchestra.
4:00 Maine Stage @ One Longfellow Square
New this year: an afternoon of Maine’s best acoustic musicians, each presenting a 30-minute mini-concert. This program will allow attendees to see any or all of the 5 concerts for one ticket.
8:00 Portland Ballet
An evening of new works. Program One: renowned choreographer Adam Miller creates a commissioned work for the artists of the Portland Ballet. Program Two: New dances inspired by American jazz and standards. Presented with live musical accompaniment.
